One may wonder about the mixture of characters found here. Unfortunately, this is not an accident—the story was to be about consequences of strange arrangements, and takes place in a fantastic place at the edge of two different worlds. By the way, have you ever read the stories written by C.S. Lewis? (maybe you were a child and you don't remember any more) As I was thinking about “my” worlds I would always be in a position of an intruder that had found himself in another, preexistent reality.
